The people of Kaunas, Lithuania had a goal: to reinforce the city’s position as a European capital of culture by 2022. With a shift in the economy from industrial to cultural, the city needs a forward-thinking, multi-use space that incorporates local history and acts as a catalyst for growth and regeneration.

The result is CRTKL’s sustainable design for a concert center along the South Bank of the Nemunas River.
